A new mobile device that has Firefox operating system is released. The news comes thanks to the Mozilla company, Telefónica and Geeksphone. With the announcement of the new smarthphone, the Mozilla browser to take territory seeks to gain greater presence on iOS and Android world, therefore providing more and more presence in the field.
The company responsible for the manufacture of the device was Geeksphone, which I think both teams to test Mozilla’s operating system. In the manufacture of the terminal, which plays a key role in ensuring that the ecosystem is ready to go when the first mobile, supported the other two remaining companies. This may be the true performance of the device on the network and try some features that account.
The terminal which has the device are: Keon and Peak. The first Qualcomm 7225A processor has 1 GHz, 3.5-inch display and a 3 megapixel camera. While Peak, has a Qualcomm processor 8225 to 1.2 GHz dual core, 4.3-inch screen and 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.3 megapixel front. If a developer wants to have the terminals or Peak Keon will visit the site to request Geeksphone.
Geeksphone involvement in creating the device very excited about the company. This is manifest, Javier Aguera, co-founder of the company, who said that the team is happy to be part of this project with two major mobile telephony.
In order to ensure the success of the devices, the companies plan to acquire Geeksphone teams to distribute to developers in order to conduct a small survey. The plan will be carried out in the context of next Campus Party Brasil, where hosts and leverage Telefónica to deliver devices with applications developers. The event will be held on January 28, 2012 in the city of Sao Paulo and will last for 20 days in order to help developers create more applications.
