3CX – IP PBX for Windows Free

This note aims to present a very general way the 3CX software, which is a free PBX for Windows. This is particularly suitable for exploring the operation of IP telephony, and more particularly that of SIP. Installation is done via a wizard that allows you with a few clicks to have available a basic PBX functionality.

It should be noted that there are two versions of the product, and a free enterprise version. The free version has very limited functionality (no centralized directory of penning calls, intercept calls …) but still allows to understand such a system and especially to study the implementation of SIP and interactions with IP phones on the market. In addition, the commercial support that is provided to him in the enterprise version is here replaced by the 3CX forums where you can reference all your problems on the free edition.
